Online Conference on Autism and Wellbeing: 8 July 2020

We at Autism&Uni want to draw your attention to a timely online conference hosted by Living Autism. The title is “Autism and Wellbeing” during the pandemic lockdowns. Presentations will cover how autistic children and adults have been affected:

  • Supporting happy and meaningful lives for autistic children and young people, Geoff Evans
  • The impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the mental health of autistic people, Dr Conor Davidson
  • Autism and anxiety, Ronnie Pinder
  • Transitioning to the new normal in schools, Specialist Teaching Team (Autism) at City of York Council
  • Working with autistic students effectively during lockdown, Professor Nicola Martin

Practical ideas will be offered on how we might move forward in a way to enhance the wellbeing of autistic school children, college/university students and adults.

For more information and bookings go to http://autismconference.co.uk/

Booking is free and donations greatly appreciated. Some of the donations will go to the autistic speakers and advocates. Net proceeds from this event will go to the Living Autism Foundation, providing families with practical workshops and a helpline – www.livingautismfoundation.org
